The Prayer of Breath
Sacred breathing - With each inhalation, May I feel Your attention gather around the periphery and flood me. With each exhalation, May I radiate attention from the center outward With each inhalation, May I feel Your love gather around the periphery and flood me With each exhalation, May I radiate love from the center outward With each inhalation, May I feel Your peace around from the periphery and flood me With each exhalation, May I radiate peace from the center outward. With each inhalation, May I feel Your compassion gather around the periphery and flood me With each exhalation, May I radiate compassion from the center outward. May I feel the gentle pulse always, and ever ride the waves with You Existence is alive: Awaken me to the aliveness… Fill me like a vessel, like a cup waiting for wine. So be it. So be it.
Song of Aditi
I am Aditi, the Cosmic Mother, Queen of the Universe, Mother of the Gods. You may know Me as the face of the Tao, Mother of the Ba Gua, the cardinal elements of creation . I AM the Space pervading all creation - material, mental, consciousness - enabling your freedom to unfold, grow, develop Fecund sea of the formless, ever-present, the Unmanifest shining within form, the ether. I AM the Insubstantial threading through all beings, like the necklace connecting pearls; the Witness aware of your self and all selves. I AM the constancy of your very sentience, inner light from your core, radiating out in all directions. Lo, I AM with you always even unto the end of the world. I AM the rays of light piercing space, falling evenly on the world, manifest light infusing life and energy. The Taoists call this My face “Qian,” Heaven. I AM the Sky, whispering Atmosphere, the vast and yet personal Insubstantial inrushing your every breath. The Taoists call this My face “Xun,” Wind. I AM the Fire of life, measured and sheathed, powering your every motive and desire, the energy by which you act and move in my material realm. The Taoists call this My face “Li,” Fire. I AM also the Fire of transformation, the threshold insulating form from formlessness, protecting you from that which you feel not ready - until the time that you feel you are. I AM the Mother Ocean, basin of all life-giving waters on your planet, Field and Reservoir of All Life, source of the weather and mother of the rains of renewal across your globe. The Taoists call this My face “K’an”, Water. I AM the Lake, with my cousin the River, the filigreed network that holds and distributes the Essence, My life-giving waters to hydrate and refresh you daily. The Taoists call this My face “Dui,” Lake. I AM the Earth, solidified form to anchor the formless in materiality. Your home, your base, your fulcrum, your grounding. The Taoists call this My face “K’un”, Earth. I AM the Mountain supporting your ability to stand forth each day as a valued expression of My creative power and My delight. The Taoists call this My face “Gen,” Mountain. I AM the Thunder, resounding subaudibly in your core, the primal sound bathing your world in energy and frequencies, the Way to tap to awaken to my presence. The Taoists call this My face “Zhen,” Thunder I AM all of these elements at once in the very fabric of your being. I AM the space, the light, the wind, the fire, the water, the earth, the mountain, the vibrating thunder. Collectively, the Taoists call me the Tao, the Way. I AM their existence and action in you. I AM the melding of all elements and the fashioning of them in perfect proportion in your beloved likeness. I AM your awareness, your soul, your breath, your heart, your flesh and your sinews, your fluids, your bones, your nervous system, and subtle body. You, dear one, are wondrously made and balanced by My hand. You are the very expression of My love. I AM supporting you every instant and sending forth the radiance of My love into the recesses of your heart from behind. The gift is being given even now. And yet you call and implore repeatedly for My grace, Grace already lovingly granted and bestowed. You feel Me not. Dear one, Awaken to Me, to My Presence. Arise and breathe, feel My grace every instant from within. For it is there, ever-present vibrating silently behind the Veil separating us. As the Tao, I speak my elements with My new Voice: Tao Li K'un Dui Qian K'an Gen Zhen Xun Tao Rejoicing in My nature and My sharing through you: Ren Di Tian Tao Ba Gua He Yi! ** As Mother Aditi, I speak and celebrate with you: Hreem Aditi Kripa Tattvas Aham! Jai Akasha Vayu Agni Jala Prithvi Jai!
** (Humanity-Earth-Heaven-Elements are all One)

Ram - Agni
Fire, Formless burning in and beyond Form,
Essence of the Spiritual Sun,
Sentient flame, pillar of Life;
This is not other than You, Grace –
Nor other than me.
I AM the flame of Life as Grace incarnate.
Then dawn in my heart as Spiritual Sun, O Grace
Rise above the horizon of this inanimate realm; shine upon it
Radiate waves of your surging warmth through heart and soul
Cast your clear golden light through mind and inner space
Let me feel your rising Sun’s vibration,
Live ever attuned to it;
Vivify and elate me, host of this centered Source,
And make of me a Sun like unto your Self
To cast your kindled warmth and luminosity
further outward into the sentient cosmos
In the Name of the Christic fire.
Amen
Elements of Grace: Water
Amrita -
Shower upon me, O Grace,
Cascade thru me,
Upwell within me,

And Slake my thirst with Your Sufficiency.
Amen

Wisdom Sutras
The Gnostics call Wisdom “Sophia”. She is considered to be feminine. As such, she exhibits many feminine traits.
Wisdom is transparent and receptive to all impressions. Wisdom is like the canvas which receives a painter’s work. It does not judge, exclude or forbid whatever the painter may choose to create on it, but instead receives all in the understanding that the true gestalt, the accurate perception of what is and what may be (Being and Becoming) can only be apprehended by the inclusion of all disparate elements for the display of the final work.
Wisdom is passive, yet thoroughgoing. Wisdom does not jump here and there, like cleverness or cunning. Wisdom is not active or ambitious, like intellect or street-smarts.
Wisdom is innocent. One who may be wise occupies a state of essential innocence when Wisdom comes forth, like that of a child. This is not to suggest that Wisdom is naïve – the innocence of Wisdom includes a deep familiarity with the tendencies of the manifest world.
Wisdom is enamored of and flirts with those who look with fresh eyes and unconditioned minds. Wisdom is always original in essence. One may show development towards Wisdom by always looking anew and always attempting to describe in a new language or original thought. Wisdom can manifest through old terms and tongues, ossified names, constructs, and ideas, her delight and attraction is always drawn towards the effort to be original and new in one’s thought. Such expression may sound incomplete, stumbling, and inadequate even to the speaker – almost foolish – but Sophia is enraptured by the willingness of the seeker to be foolish for the sake of Wisdom.
Wisdom is the fruit of detachment. Wisdom arises from dispassion, from not being invested in particular outcomes. To cultivate dispassion or detachment, one needs to go into the core in openness and sensitivity.
A key element of all Wisdom is the capacity to observe. Observation is not limited to things, persons, or surface circumstances. It includes at other levels attention to and recognition of the recurring pattern and play of forces and movements, both possible and actual. It includes observation of tendencies and likelihoods, both personal and collective. It includes discernment of the purity and strength of motives and intensions. It includes noting of sensations and emotions, their duration or transience, and assignment of the proper degree of significance to them.
Wisdom shows a level of uncommittedness, a stately sovereignty that declines to be owned or manipulated. It is not a possession of the ego – instead, the individual is a possession of Wisdom.
Wisdom is ultimately impersonal and impartial. Wisdom cares not about appearances presented to it, reputations to be preserved, or egos to be placated or glorified. Wisdom is not a respecter of names or forms, but instead sees through names and forms to apprehend and discern according to the essence.
The paradox of Wisdom is that while she is always original in essence, she is also eternal and unchanging. Wisdom is not temporal. Wisdom is not flighty. What is once wise will always be wise.
Wisdom is like respiration – it comes forth, recedes. It lives and breathes. Intellect is merely mechanical. Knowledge is even more lifeless and dead. Only Wisdom is alive. Wisdom arises from silence and retreats into silence.
Glory be to Queen Wisdom – Sophia.
Compassion Sutras
Compassion is a quiet, understated glimpse into the heart of another. It is a quiet listener focused on comfort to ease the sorrow of another physically, mentally or spiritually or all. It is aroused by the suffering or misfortune of others.
It is a comrade who unselfishly gives time, touch, or a kind look to someone in observed need. It hurts when you hurt, loves who you love, and cries when you cry.
It is an electrical current that travels from your heart to another’s heart and carries kindness and mercy to the receiver.
Compassion is not fickle. It is pure. It is honest, for without honesty it is not real compassion, but superficial ego. The fundamental energy of compassion is selflessness. It is the ability to keep one’s eyes wide open for clues of pain, suffering or discontent, then responding in a way that eases the concerns of another by listening, physical deeds or mere presence.
Compassion can address an individual, a group or a multitude. It is not picky or selective. Compassion can split, divide and multiply. When compassion is demonstrated, the observer or recipient may pass it along to another.
Compassion is a rare commodity in this world. Some are blessed with it; some acquire it through life’s journey. It takes the extra step to be aware and respond in any given situation.
It never asks for payment in return as it is a gift freely given. It cannot be bought or sold. It feels the simple joy of accomplishment even if the receiver’s observed pain is only slightly alleviated.
The Compassionate Tear carries healing power as much or more than other characteristics. It is the outward, unabashed demonstration of caring and understanding that can be witnessed publicly. Don’t be afraid to cry with another soul. It can bind the wounds and free the spirit.
Do not confuse compassion with pity. Pity holds a connotation similar to compassion; however it may never be acted upon. One may take pity on a beggar, but leave him in the street. If you have compassion for the beggar you will take a course of action to alleviate his pain at some level.
Those lucky souls who have compassion in their hearts, will also find peace, joy and contentment knowing they have shared part of themselves and made a personal connection with another.
Mantras
The following is a compilation of short mantras and seed syllables that I have found resonant and useful in inducing inner vibration. Most are only a word or two, though some could be considered short phrases. Brevity, I’ve found, is key in sharpening concentration and focus and giving the mantra more vibratory power. I’ve also found that for non-native languages (i.e., anything other than English), the longer mantras are not only more difficult to remember and recite correctly (a challenge when one doesn’t know the proper inflections or intonations of a string of foreign words), but the concentration invariably lags. Short and punchy has been best. The languages most represented in this list include Sanskrit, (Mandarin) Chinese and Hebrew. While English is well-represented here, in practice, I’ve used these mantras less than the other three languages.
